How to Become a PCDS?

This course offers an introduction to the principles of data science. To obtain the Pega Certified Data Scientist (PCDS) qualification, data science must be practiced in a company as well as achieved through theoretical training.  Key topics covered include:  Understanding and design of data science projects  Introduction to machine learning  Handling unstructured data  Avoiding the pitfall of task analysis  Implementing an enterprise-wide strategy for using analytics  Designing a statistical inference engine  Using supervised learning to process large unstructured data sets  Thinking about software as a data scientist  As a data scientist, you need to be able to drive the strategy and development of the software and the business.

So what are we thinking? The post above covered what to consider when implementing data science in Pega. We discussed the overall type and quantity of data. Looking at other high volume high latency applications, we decided to bring data scientists into some projects to collect additional data.  The first application we considered was business intelligence, similar to an Excel spreadsheet.
