My question could apply to other game modes too although I'm especially talking about mycareer. I had been planning on MT 2K21 getting the present gen mamba edition so I could have gen copies when XSX releases. I've been reading about on this sub and it seems like the next gen 2K21 will be an almost completely different game. I could live with this although it sucks to hear that we may lose mycareer progress. Most of my friends who have NBA 2K21 will not be getting the newest consoles when they release. That is a dealbreaker for me, if my friends and I can't play.

Next-gen consoles may play also the game and the next-gen game. For instance, you can play MyLeague and MyTeam on next-gen but play MyCareer on current-gen with buddies who do not upgrade, along with your VC earnings would be in the pocket. Current-gen consoles can only play with with the game that is current-gen. It is like they are trying to shoot themselves in the foot with this bs. They keep up it stating they constructed a brand new game from the ground up which I think is a load of bs. This is only one of the strangest decisions Ive ever seen in a match. I am exactly the same op. My friends wont be buying the new system at least not for a year or so but I need it day 1. I will prob have to get the present gen so my friends and I can play although I'd want the next gen game but. Ensure it is a free upgrade like every other firm you greedy fucks.

I get its messed up, but this is how it was with 2K14 from xbox 360 - xbox one or ps3 - ps4. Even worse actually cuz you HAD to buy every seperately. It's how it was with 2K14 next gen.
